April 21: Adam Melancon on Raspberry Pi
For about the price of a good restaurant meal, you can buy the guts of a reasonably-powered working computer - and that's just the beginning. Adam Melancon will bring us up to date on Raspberry Pi, now in its second generation, and give us a look at the kinds of projects and implementations that are putting the fun and interest back into computing for millions of students and hobbyists.
As usual, we will have free refreshments and other giveaways, and remember that just for attending you are entered into a raffle for a free 12-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud!
This meeting will be held Tuesday, April 21, 6-8 pm in Room 109 of Stephens Hall on the UL campus. Enter through double doors facing quad and gather with group in atrium where we will proceed to Room 109. Parking near the building becomes open near 5:30 pm and there is also overflow parking across St. Mary Boulevard.
In the works...
Also in the works for future meetings: further updates on great new Adobe tools that are part of Creative Cloud; the power of Python; another practical Photoshop session; A close look at Adobe Illustrator; and more. Something you want to hear about? Let us know! Something you want to see, or to share? Let us know!
At every meeting...
We begin each meeting with free refreshments and lively free form discussion of the topics of the day (also known as gossip). And by attending a meeting, you are entered in a raffle for free Adobe software! We also have other giveaways as well! We hope to see you at a meeting soon!
