Notes from Oct. 21 Photoshop preso

As promised, here are a few bits of info from the presentation on Photoshop at the AUG meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 21:

Page of great info on last several updates to Photoshop:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/whats-new.html#Photoshop CC 2014.2 (October 2014 release)

The names of the iOS apps we looked at:

Adobe Ideas - Do freehand sketches, send them to Illustrator where they open in your desktop app. Full paths for each of the objects on your artboard.

Adobe Photoshop Mix - Isolate part of one image from your camera roll and drop it into another image. Share as an image, and you can even send a .PSD file to Photoshop on your desktop for further editing, with layers for each component of the image.

Adobe Brush - Isolate some element in a photo that you take or glean from your camera roll, and turn it into a brush usable in Photoshop or Illustrator.

Adobe Shape - Take a photo or draw from your camera roll, capturing the shape into a vector outline that renders before your very eyes in a manner reminiscent of a Polaroid photo. Send to your Creative Cloud library, and it is now available as a vector in both Photoshop and Illustrator. In Photoshop, manipulate it as you need to as you place it into a Photoshop file for further use. In Illustrator, all the paths are very articulated and can be further edited.
