Super Welcome Event Sept. 20 for new Co-Manager Ryan LeTulle!
The Acadiana Adobe User Group has a terrific program lined up for its next meeting, Sept. 20, and in addition a special welcome to new Co-Manager Ryan LeTulle that could end up putting a new CS5.5 package into your hands!
Sept. 20, 2011: Using Google Apps
Craig Inman has recently shepherded a company's adoption of Google Apps for its mail and other application needs, and he has great practical information, tips and techniques hard won in the trenches of battle, to share with us. This meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, 6-8 pm at Graham Group Interactive, 2014 West Pinhook Road, Suite 210, Lafayette, LA.
This will also be a Special Welcome Event for new Co-Manager Ryan LeTulle, the crowning glory of which will be a raffle drawing for a Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 package just from the attendees of that night's meeting! That's right, a CS5.5 package will be drawn just from the attendees at that night's meeting! Plus, there's the usual free beer, soda and snacks, and the opportunity to socialize with your colleagues. AND... if you don't win that night's package, you're still put into the raffle for our general CS5.5 drawing in December. It's a Double Chance to Win!
We also have some updates to future meetings:
Oct. 18, 2011: Adobe Edge, plus After Effects Warp Stabilizer and Rotobrush
Ryan LeTulle will give us a look at Adobe Edge, a newly announced facility that allows animation created purely with HTML5. And James Edmunds will show us how the Warp Stabilizer in Adobe After Effects 5.5 can make your shaky hand-held videos seem steady, as well as take a peek at the power of the rotobrush tool that vastly eases rotoscoping. This meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, 6-8 pm at Graham Group Interactive, 2014 West Pinhook Road, Suite 210, Lafayette, LA.
Call for meeting topics
We are always on the lookout for suggestions for good meeting topics, and any presentations that might come from our members. We all learn so much from each other!
In the works for possible future meetings: a power guide to using PDF forms; two different Photoshop presentations, a presentation by a power Illustrator user on what's in that Illustrator file you just got sent (lots more useful stuff than you might ever believe!), a close-up look at Adobe Browser Lab, Muse and more. Plus, whatever YOU suggest!
